Hi John.

Thanks for the input! I so appreciate it.

Yes, you are absolutely correct about my tentativeness, and I hope all who watch can learn from it (and not play that way, unless it's on purpose!). That's a bad habit I developed over the years of something I call the "Too Much Consideration for the Neighbors" syndrome, where, you want to play hard, but you're not sure what the neighbors will do! It's not always that way, but I actually didn't notice until I saw myself (and now you've confirmed it). That's something that I have to practice out of.

I noticed the position of my left arm as well. I actually don't know why I play that way; I don't notice it while I'm playing, but I will give that extra attention as well.

And yes, I am actually having fun, but I know the moment I smile my timing will fly out the window. I'm just concentrating too much. Must relax!

Again, thanks John. I look forward to hearing from you again! And let's take note, everyone!

I wont comment on your ability to play Limelight, because I am simply intimidated by "the Professor" and generally only play Rush tunes in the privacy of my own home.

That said, my only comments are that you are tentative when you strike, you don't look comfortable with the strikes you make on the cymbals or the drums. Almost like you are not sure if that is the right one, but from the sound of your playing you were in line with the music. You just need to look more confident.

Secondly, for a cross over player, your left elbow is kicked out very high and away from your body, which will tire you out. I would guess lowering your snare may correct this and give you a little more stamina for long performances.

Lastly, smile!
